Challenger Little League began in 1989 when Little League International opened a program that offered inclusion for all kids wanting to play Little League Baseball.

District 54 Challenger Baseball League is offered in the spring and fall for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.  The spring program is for players aged 5 to 16 years old.  The fall season is our Senior Division for players aged 15 to 22 years old (18-22 if still enrolled in school.  

Players enjoy the full benefits of Little League participation in a recreational environment, accommodating to individual abilities. Games are played in the spring season, April through June and September through October in fall, both programs operate on Saturdays. 

District 54 Little League is comprised of twelve local Little League Organizations throughout Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado County who host our challenger divisions. 

We are volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) California Corporation.
